Until now I'd not heard of it. It's so far outside my usual entertainment band. But is one of the most powerful films I've ever seen, showing the deep struggles of the youth of today and how a teacher with some imagination , against the odds can find good in anyone, and get results..

This film is well worth watching. Following a new teacher's enthusistic start in a school which provided no hope for teenagers from disadvantaged backgrounds, negative reaction from older more experienced teachers she turned the attitude of the school administrators and more importantly the pupils around and gave them hope for a better future.
