OK so these are different records to the originals (obviously) not just originals dubbed onto Phil tracks. For mine, I prefer the original big O stuff , yes even the early days Monument Mono LPs which I still have. You just cannot beat the raw power of these, despite the fact that the orchestrated versions are extremely good in their own right. Each to his/her own but I have a feeling that the real Orbison addicts will stick with their originals. Anyway, anything that keeps the absolute genius of the man alive is well worth the money. The holographic tour sounds fantastic, although it may just re-emphasise how much we have lost with his untimely passing.

Following in the footsteps of the Elvis Presley Royal Philharmonic Orchestra cds this is a nice addition. In truth I bought it for "It's over" but the lead track "In dreams" is by far the best track on the cd and worth the price for the intro alone. I would not bothered digging out my original cds and they would have just sat on the shelf gathering dust but this new set breathes new life into some great songs. Recommended? Yes Vital? No

The cd is beautifully packaged. Roy Orbison sounds as great as ever. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra enhances his music and his voice. All Roy fans will be amazed when they listen to him.
