Reviewed many soundbars but decided to select a Samsung which would auto connect with my Samsung tv. Set up was very simple, plug in both devices and the Samsung auto connect did the rest, to be honest 10 mins from unpacking and the soundbar was working. Excellent sound for the price with a nice display on the soundbar to indicate movie, music, sport etc sound experience. Bluetooth worked very efficiently and having a wireless base makes positioning very easy. Is it the best soundbar? no of course not but then I only paid £129 but when new it was £300?. For the average person this soundbar provides excellent base and voice significantly better than the latest flat screens sound quality and provides Bluetooth option for your other Bluetooth products. Overall very happy with my purchase, great value for the quality and ease of use, no problem recommending.Read full review

The sound quality is reasonable, somewhere between a good quality radio and a proper hi fi. The spec is very misleading, it claims 300 Watts of power RMS. It is actually 300 Watts Music Power, which is a misleading fudge, in general "Music Power" ratings are about 10 times the RMS (actual average power) rating. The power supplies to the subwoofer and bar are each rated at about 30 watts of power, so the speakers can't possibly produce 300 Watts of power, by definition. From experience I would say the total output power is about 30 watts RMS, between both speakers. To be fair to the supplier the Samsung Manual claims 300 Watts RMS, clearly a contravention of the Trade Descriptions Act. The Bluetooth is only version 2 so expect a noticeable delay on the sound channel vs any video you may be watching, you can correct this with some TVs settings. The product is powerful enough for a modest sized living room or a bedroom. Note, wall mountings are not included, they cost about £20 extraRead full review

Upgraded to this sound bar as I own a Samsung smart TV. This system supports a wireless connection between certain Samsung TVs. The sound is very good but the sub could be louder, In saying that it does sound better whilst playing music via Bluetooth, seems to be more base? The vocal from all sources is very crisp and clear, this is a issue with me as I have very bad hearing. My unit was an ex-display but was in excellent condition. Overall would give the unit on performance a strong 8/10 based on sound and cost.

I bought a "big telly" and true to form the sound from the speakers is not good, so eventually got a sound bar sanctioned, tbh I didn't want to spend a lot of money on one as I don't watch a lot of major motion pictures with giant apes fighting robots and crashing helicopters..well you get the picture. I had read a lot of tech reviews which I guess are reflective of the upper levels but like a lot of people I want something quality but not technical excellence with a four figure price tag. But just wanted clarity and quality, this certainly fits the bill and ticks all the boxes. Pleased with it as it has improved the quality of sound we get, and you can hear things in the background you couldn't before.

Extremely happy with the sound performance, the various channels available the adjustments in treble & base and the sound effects, though these could have been improved by adding equaliser controls too. The design, is, just OK for me! I would expect from two Samsung products that compatibility of design would have been taken into consideration for those people who did not want to wall mount the soundbar. In my case, I wanted to place the soundbar in front of the Samsung TV, which was on the stand provided when purchased. Two problems with this: a) the legs of the stand project out too far, such that the soundbar cannot be set back far enough to fit close to or under the TV. b) the space between the bottom of the TV and the legs of the stand, will not permit the soundbar to sit on top of the legs. These are aesthetic problems, which detract from the overall look, by making the cables visible! Also, the brightness of the soundbar display either needs to have a bigger font, or to be much brighter as it becomes difficult to read from a distance of over 10-12 feet.Read full review
